Buyer briefing
How to prepare a useful B2B produce RFQ
A useful enquiry gives both sides enough information to discuss an appropriate product and shipment plan. It does not need to be long, but it should make the commercial requirement clear.
- Product & specificationState the product, variety, grade or class, size or count, and any colour, maturity or presentation requirement.
- Volume & frequencyGive the target quantity and whether the requirement is a spot purchase or a repeat programme.
- PackingDescribe the preferred carton, pack format and net weight where these are already defined.
- Origin & timingShare any origin preference and the required shipment or delivery window.
- DestinationName the destination country and port or airport where relevant.
- DocumentsIdentify any buyer or destination-specific documents that must be discussed before quotation.
Availability, specification and commercial terms are confirmed for each quotation.
